About us

The Teachers Association of Japanese (TAJ) is an organization committed to spreading Japanese language and culture in Mumbai.

All our members are Japanese teachers. Every year we hold a Japanese language song contest, a cultural festival – the Bunkasai – where we conduct all kinds of workshops introducing Japanese arts, encourage students to perform in Japanese and interact with native Japanese.

We hold quiz contests for school students.

We visit schools and conduct short programs for increasing awareness about Japan and Japanese culture.

We also conduct the JLPT in Mumbai.
